Our Story

The Mānoa House is collaborative wellness space within a cottage home built in 1953, located in the heart of Mānoa Valley, on the island of Oahu. Renovations and interior design by Amy. We opened the space in Fall 2019 to bring our unique services to the greater Honolulu community.

We are a team of licensed professionals offering a variety of modalities. Our goal is to help you create healthy habits, ritual self care and maintenance as a form of preventative and complimentary medicine.

Amy Hastanan is the owner of The Mānoa House with 21 years of experience providing massage, 8 years teaching advanced modalities to hundreds of massage therapists across the U.S, and 11 years practicing acupuncture.

Amy has trained each of the Licensed Massage Therapists at The Mānoa House, one-on-one, in techniques including traditional Fire Cupping, Peri-Natal and Sarga Bodywork. Sarga is a myofascial barefoot technique that applies broad and deep pressure to target muscles and fascia, reducing tension with an aim to increase tissue hydration and mobility. We strive to keep our work consistent and are known for our deep tissue therapeutic approach to pain management.

To date we provide an array of services including acupuncture, massage and esthetics.
